Small Business International Review (Research Journal published by Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT) and AECA  e-ISSN 2531-0046) is a peer-reviewed e-journal devoted to the publication of original research articles concerning the broad field of SMEs. The journal encourages and invites the entire international academic community to submit their manuscripts as part of a permanent 'call for papers'. The editors guarantee a completely transparent evaluation and review process, while offering immediate full open access (DOAJ seal) to all its content, on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Authors will not be asked to pay Article Processing Charges (APCs) for this journal under any circumstances. The journal offers a permanent open call for papers. The articles can be sent using the journal’s platform or by email to sb...@upct.es, indicating in the subject: '[SBIR] Article sent'. To submit your manuscript through the platform and to view the author guidelines, click here.

The publishing model of Small Business International Review recently changed to a continuous publication (CP) model. The central aspect of the new publishing model is that articles will be published online in their final form, with their final citation details, as soon as they have been accepted and proofread. As a result, the waiting time between submission and final publication is reduced considerably and the article will be assigned a permanent DOI as well.

We hope that these changes will contribute towards improving the impact and reputation of the journal, and we are confident that authors will continue to place their trust in Small Business International Review to disseminate the results of their academic production.
