The Sports Analytics Group of the Department of Statistics of Athens University of Economics & Business (AUEB) announces the

10^th AUEB Sports Analytics

Workshop & Conference (AUEB SAW2026)

 

which will be hosted live at AUEB, Athens (Greece) on the evenings of Monday 4^th and Tuesday 5^th of May 2026 (Exact times will be announced soon).

The workshop will be accompanied by three short courses:

-- A virtual 9-hour short course on Sports Management, on 6-8 May 2026. It will be delivered by Argyro Elisavet Manoli (Associate Professor Management and Marketing, University of Bergamo), Gabriele Murtas (Post-doctoral Researcher in Management and Marketing, University of Bergamo) and Federico Mangiò (Tenured Track Researcher in Management and Marketing, University of Bergamo). 

-- A live 9-hour short course on Coaching by numbers, on 6-8 May 2026. It will be delivered by Dr. Christos Marmarinos (International Scouter of Sacramento Kings), Sotiris Drikos (Assistant Professor in Physical Education, University of Athens, and former Federal Volleyball Coach) and Vasilis Armatas (Head of Performance Analysis, AEK FC).

-- A virtual 9-hour short course on Football Analytics, on 11-13 May 2026. It will be delivered by Ioannis Ntzoufras, Dimitris Karlis (Professors in Statistics, AUEB) and Leonardo Egidi (Associate Professor in Statistics, University of Trieste).

• ·       Computationally intensive methods
• ·       Financial valuation in sport

A limited number of contributed talks will be accepted. In case you wish to contribute a talk, please submit your contributed talk here https://tinyurl.com/aueb-saw-2026-abstract by 20/3/2026.  Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent as soon as possible and no later than 25/3/2026.
