Meeting time/place

Anyone heard anything regarding any sort of meeting times or places?
Don't want to miss out on a first meeting.

I'm in Holland, so I don't have any suggestions. There's the Biggsby
off M6 on Division. If we're even partially considering a bar, we
should probably know if there's anyone under 21 that's planning to
come. If so, we'll have to keep that in mind for locations.

I'm going to call a few coffee places today. Until we have a better
idea about ages, I'd like to avoid bars. If we are all "of age" and
certain that we won't exclude anyone by the choice of a venue for
religious or personal reasons, then we can look to something more like
that.

Are you looking in the Grand Rapids area? Downtown or outskirts if yes?

I would recommend outskirts if so. I would prefer avoiding downtown traffic since I have no need to venture down there.

If you need a hand with finding a place, making calls, or anything else let me know. I don't want to step on anyone's toes.

I work near the other end of M6, the Bigby is at Kalamazoo Dr right?  That is pretty easy to get to from 131 and 96 both... Wednesday nights are ok for me, but not until after mid october.

That was just a suggestion. It might be Kalamazoo Ave; its in that area. Plus it will offer easy access to anywhere. The biggest downside is that its a smaller location; they may not want a dozen guys in there learning how to pick locks. We will most likely take up half the store.

I called Biggby on K-zoo in Kentwood, and they would be quite happy to
have us meet there. I propose Next Wed at 7:00pm for an hour. I am
hoping we will have locks to play with, but at the very leaest we can
all meet and get to know each other.

Thoughts? Concerns? Objections?

I am excited to see this starting to kick off.  My name is Josh.  I am currently unable to attend the meetings due to having school Tuesday to Thursday 4 to 10.  I was wondering if we could pass around a  link to buy a good set of progressive locks and a nice set of picks.  That way I can start practicing myself until i am out of school and with any luck my friend will be free to attend the meetings and bring the locks to help people out.
