!ProtoCompiler-gRPCPlugin pod is stuck at v1.49.0

While all other dependencies (!ProtoCompiler, gRPC, gRPC-Core, BoringSSL-GRPC) have been updated to v1.53.0, the !ProtoCompiler-gRPCPlugin pod update has not been released is still stuck at v1.49.0, which is keeping us from updating other dependencies as well.

Is cocoapods not the recommended/preferred way for integrating gRPC?

gRPC clients on iOS are stuck at a 7months old release! :/
