After building and installing gRPC and protobuf per the grpc build instructions for C++ I am able to compile my .proto file successfully but however the pb.h contains
#include <google/protobuf/port_def.inc> which is not installed with protobuf.

I am using Centos 7 and followed the build instructions in BUILDING.md.

Is it the same error as described in https://github.com/protocolbuffers/protobuf/issues/5868 ?

Does this happen if you try to install protobuf separately? This most likely seems a protobuf issue than a grpc one.
