xds - support for server-side fault injection?

I have recently been exploring the use of xds with gRPC to demonstrate reliability controls (things like traffic drains and fault injection).

I see that gRFC A33-Fault-Injection enables client-side support for envoy's HTTPFault, but it does not appear to be supported on the server side at this time. While servers do have support for xds http filters, the HTTPFault filter specifically is not currently supported.

It is not clear to me from reading these proposals if this is a deliberate choice to not support server-side fault injection, or if the work has just not been done yet. If the latter, what is the best way for me to support this effort?
