Any best practice for parameter validation in gprc-java server implementation?

When using Spring MVC, JSR 303 Bean Validation is a cute way to do RequestBean validation, such as Max, Min, and some self-defined annotations, so that I do not have to validate in every service method.  but how can I do this in grpc-java service? Request beans are generated via IDL, I can not add annotations on them.

We are looking at adding validation annotations to the proto IDL, though its still a bit out until we have results.
