Sorry for not coming sooner with news from the trip but each day is an adventure and not to much free time for pictures sorting and written(good that exist buses and train that you need to use the timeJ).
First I want to take you all for your mails and phones to see how I am. I’m blessed to have such wonderful true friends
Special thanks to Mihai and Abbas that from their own initiative had a sleepless night before \i left Baku to help me put in order everything before.
Also special thanks to Cecilia and her roommates, Jean, Emre that took care of my cats and had a big adventure for trying to arrange arranging their departure.
Now back to the trip, every day that is passing is full of adventures. lessons and things that we need to adjust. This kind of trip is very good to learn about yourself, have more insides and teachings so is perfect when you change totally the life like I am now when I brake the puzzle and I need to do it again.
I met many people traveling alone or in couple for months. This kind of trip is good also for couple life to know each other better and make stronger the relation passing thrue many thinks together.
So I high recommend it in change period and for couples.
Just a few of our each day adventure:
- Running with a car for catching a bus that just left the bus station.
- First day in Thailand on the both for south not finding my expensive very comfortable air contact back pack that attract someone. I’ve run to the exit and I’ve found it there on the floor probably someone was hopping that I will ot notice so quickly where it is in order to go down with it.
- Coming back from waterfall and delphine watching in laos 400 island by bycle with luiza behind and getting dark. Good that we had a flash light
- Trying to go uphill in china lijan with Luiza behind, In the end she reached hitchhacking and both in a taxi including the bycicle.
- Reaching to shangrila monastery 7 pm after a walderfull walk arroud and picture with sun over the complex. They told us that is open till 8 pm but actually inside the temples were closed. So we had to come back in the morning trying to enter with the same tickets.
By the way for tourist China is not sio cheep as you might thing. Accommodation and food is ok but entry to the objects is all the time more than 10 USD even for seeing a natural park, a waterfall or glacier.
And put aside ideas that you ha ve about he places from reading or pictures. Once reach there the reality is different but still nice and chaeging.
For example Thailand water is not so blue like the picture with polarized filter especially when it was 1 week of storm before you came, glacier need 8km climbing and actually is black due to the pollution and is melting continuously being able even to hear the cracks and see the falling
- temples from Cambogia had very hogh narrow steps so hard climbing as divinity is not reached without effort as the guide explain the reason (those made my angle to heart a bit but was fix with cream and bandage) And actually half of tourist didnt climb the stairs even if the best view was there
And now some more details about the trip and hopefully soon I’ll come with more.
In the way to Thailand I stop 3 days in Moscow . It was a big adventure to take the visa but once you figure out had invitation latter you can take it from internet even from embassy site everything become simpler/.
Moscow was an interesting experience expensive especially for travel as the entry tickets
Were 10 times more for foreigner in most places./
with snow and some drops of rain but all the time sun that was not there since many months.
The friend couple that oi stay with were amazing in making me feel welcome, meeting local people and local experience. They came some aapointment to see the city from the top of television tower, to go in a bar and see the center.
Of course I visit ed Kremlin and in the last day, in astronautic museum I had an interesting discussion with sege that made me understand why I had to be there and make all those effort to reach. \help him with an advice and perhaps organize in the future some workshops in Moscow as he was interested and one of his friends is organizing such workshops.
Life is amazing as in Baku, we’ve never discuss about such topics and I even didn’t know that je is interested about it .
In thialand due to visa we had just 15 days.
FRrom Bangkok, were I met Kyuiza my Romanian friend that lives in London, we took directly the plane to Puket, a city not so interesting but ;pcated good to arrive in all the irlands. Next day we took boat for Phi Phi/
We’ve spend 8 days in South Thailand It was nice relaxing so what I needed after the stress from work and departure.
We took 1 day trip around Phi Ph, amazing natural snakes and party. After 2 nights dancing we were so happy for Ko Lanta cal and peace, Nice bungalow near the see with pool and restaurants with pillows on the floor as I like.
I did 4 dives that were interested And finally I saw the turtle that I’m chasing since 7 years and I see them just dead or coming out of the egg.
We had also 1 day trip tio fabgta bay with floating village caves and james bound irland.
Another day we spent it in Railay island
After we took the bus for Bangkok. It’s amazing how clean and comfortable is the over nigh Vip sleeping bus and especially the train.
We’ve spent 1 day in Bangkok and saw the Palace and a few temples and in the evening we took the train for Chang Mai. It was an adventure as, due to Thailandeze new year, there were not places since a few days. Si in the morning we’ve took tickets for Ayutaya, a city 2 hours away thinking to make the loop in the other direction we plan initially but taking the risk of finding bus/train overnight back to Bangkok as we were flying to cambogia after,
As the train were 1 h apart we went asking if it was any cancellation so like that we’ve found ticket for Chang Mai that was good as this was the city with the biggest festivity(that by the way it just happened to be during our travel and to the exact date when we were visiting north_.
We had 2 days trip in jungle but jungle was nit so Abundant as we expected. But we stayed with local people in a village and it was interesting.
The festival was a craziness as everyone is pouring water on everyone for wellbeing and abundance for new year
So you need to have everything in plastic bags and in the way to jungle we were all 8 totally sucks, And we took with us just a few clothes as we were suppose to hike and carry then for 2 days”_
We went also to the north part the Golden triangle were they will cultivating opium lonmg time ago, to the border with Birma and Laos.
We’ve visited also Sukothaia amazing archeological site where we had again adventure as we started on foot and except main part all the rest parts were far way as the map had the wrong scale for far away parts. Ur we rented motorcycles on the way to carry us.
Back to Bangkok and we visited few more temples, palace
Cambogia is amazing. Nice helpful people that don’t want to cheet you like Thailand or Laos, amazing food if you know the restaurant for locals that a friends that live there gave me by GPS coordinated (thanks by the way) We ‘e spend 3 days to Siem Rep afheological park. It’s so much to see even if you rent car from sunrise to sunset.
After due to flight price change we decided not to flight thru Kuala Lumpur and to cross Laos in the way to China
I’ll come back with pictures and more about China
