Greetings!
The vote on
Amendment 1 is going to be tight, so we need all hands on deck until election day (Tues, Nov. 4) to educate voters and get out the vote!
Amendment 1 is probably the single most important thing you can do for Florida's environment for at least the next decade!
To help make sure it passes, please do one or more of the following ASAP (the more the better!):
1) Volunteer for a few hours at the polls to hand out information. Volunteers are needed during early voting (started today) and on election day. If you've never done this before, it's easy and fun (this is a non-pa
rtisan issue so interactions with people should be positive). Please contact Kathy Fanning (kath...@hotmail.com; 352-376--5104) for more information.
2) Make sure your families and friends vote yes on Amendment 1!
Amendment 1 will ensure that state conservation programs continue regardless of who's in the governor's office/legislature. Let's not regret that we didn't do everything we could to make sure it passed! For more information visit http://voteyeson1fl.org.
Thank you!

The only addendum I might I add is that if you care about other elections too, you can go to the Democrat Party headquarters on NW 8th Ave and get stacks of their slate cards for poll greeting, as they also recommend a YES vote on Amendment 1 (sorry, local Republicans, you're on your own). You will be SHOCKED at how many people will say to you "Oh, thanks, I didn't know how to vote on all the rest of the stuff" (particularly at UF campus-oriented ones).
