contact info-phone, email, websiteIt all began in 1985, when two enthusiastic women decided to promote the art of storytelling throughout Florida. Over the past 30 years, their annual gathering to celebrate storytelling has grown and changed, but its purpose remains the same. From the classroom to the public square, from Wall Street to Madison Avenue, from the stage to the kitchen table; the power of stories to educate, entertain and influence is like none other. The 31st annual Florida Storytelling Festival, March 5-8, 2015 at historic Lakeside Inn in Mount Dora, Florida offers the opportunity to experience this ancient art through storytelling concerts, workshops, story swaps, and a storytelling cruise on lovely Lake Dora. Younger audiences will listen, learn and tell in the Youthful Voices Family Fun Tent. Come enjoy the entire weekend or join us for just an evening concert in the big tent on the Grand Lawn. We never outgrow a well-told story; rediscover that joy at the Florida Storytelling Festival.
