Entering its third year as a program, Grow Radio is excited to present the next season of The Conch, Gainesville’s True Storytelling Project. Anyone is invited to tell a five-minute true story based on the night’s theme, “Neighbors and Roommates.” The current season will have the following schedule and themes:
Sept. 1 “Neighbors and Roommates”
Oct. 6 “The Internet”
Nov. 3 “Art”
Dec. “Hindsight”
Storytelling, a medium that’s been at the center of human existence, serves many purposes including entertainment, education, cultural enlightenment and preservation, and personal expression. It unites people in a shared experience in ways that modern media and the virtual world cannot. So tell your friends, tell your story, or just come and hear great true stories told live. Grow Radio will record the stories and broadcast the best ones as a podcast later in the month. Previous podcasts can be found here: http://growradio.org/podcast?show=the+conch
