Gainesville, FL, it's time to tell your stories about "THE GREAT OUTDOORS." This month, The Conch is partnering with Alachua Conservation Trust and Alachua Audubon Society- come share your stories or just enjoy the great tales that will be told.
Storytelling, a medium that's been at the center of human existence, serves many purposes including entertainment, education, cultural enlightenment and preservation, and personal expression. It unites people in a shared experience in ways that modern media and the virtual world cannot. As a response to our society's disjointed and disconnected progression, Grow Radio presents The Conch.
About The Conch:The Conch is a monthly storytelling event hosted at Lightnin' Salvage (at Satchel's Pizza) on the first Tuesday of the month. Each Conch night will have a different theme and people are invited to tell a five-minute, true story without notes based on the theme for the night. Tell your friends, tell your story, or just come and hear great true stories told live. Grow Radio will record the stories and broadcast the best ones later in the month.
