I'm used GowlMail 1.2.5 with Growl 1.2.2 on MacOS 10.6.8.  The most recent security update changed the version of Apple Mail from 4.5 to 4.6 and GrowlMail stopped working. It deactivates itself when run Mail after I install it.

Any way to get a patched version of 1.2.5 or point me to the sources on GitHub so I can build my own version to bypass the check?

Thanks.

+1

PS: Lion - it OS for the phone, not computer (stupid virtual desktop manager, rubber interface, stupid "normal/default" scrolling without touchscreen :)

For this the only recommendation I have is to run the current version of the GrowlMailUUIDPatcher against GrowlMail 1.2.5. Source compatibility with 10.6 was dropped with the release of GrowlMail 1.3.0.

I would also recommend MailPluginFix. It’ll patch all incompatible Mail.app plugins after an OS X update, including GrowlMail.

I read up on your GitHub account for GrowlMailUUIDPatcher for 10.6 and it says to get back to you if just adding the UUID works.
Did people get back to you and does it work?

Thanks for all your work!
