Using Shift+r or capslock+r?

Is the keyboard monitor in hardwaregrowler enabled?

What version of Growl?

What version of HardwareGrowler?

Greetings. iMAC, 4GB,2.8GHz Intel Corte 2. I have Growl and HardwareGrowl installed. Yesterday, I noticed I can not type "R" but can type r. I turned off Growl, then I can type "R". Messed with some of the Growl preferences but still not working. HardwareGrowl appears not to be a factor. Checked keyboard shortcuts and text to speech preferences; appeared OK.
Changed keyboard and turned on Growl...problem still exists.

Change HardwareGrowler setting: enabled Keyboard Monitor; caps Lock, FN key, and Shift Key. Using capslock + r works fine; however, using Shift + r does not work--There are no new notifications.
