anyone using this growl notification style? http://dribbble.com/shots/436833-Mountain-Lion-Growl-Theme

when i double click the file, it gives a pop-up window which tells that the plug-in already exists and if it should be overwritten. when i click it should be overwritten the style does not appear in the list of styles to choose from.

anyone an idea what the problem may be?

thanks!

There have been some issues with the displays list in the past, some
of which are resolved in 1.4 (in review), all of which should be
resolved in 2.0 (hopefully in beta very soon)

Have you looked in the Displays tab in the preferences for Growl?

If it does not open do you see any messages in the console?

Here's what I had to do.
1. Download a style to the desktop.
2. Double-click to install from the file on the desktop
3. Navigate to the ~/Library/Application Support/Growl/Plugins directory
4. Force quit Growl from the Activity Monitor (otherwise I get an error that the file is already installed and prompted to overwrite, after which I am then notified there was an error installing.)
5. Double-click the file that was installed to the ~/Library/Application Support/Growl/Plugins directory
I was then able to install without an error message, and the style now appears in my Growl displays panel.

Hope that helps and is not just some FM that doesn't mean anything/help anyone else.

Yes, it only worked for me until reboot, and when I rebooted my system, Growl reverted to a stock theme and I had the same issues again where the installed styles were no longer listed. :-( Sorry for the wild chase.

Are you setting it as the default style or just for a specific app?
