I just installed Growl 1.3 from the App Store after first uninstalling
1.2.2. In the previous version I had at least a dozen apps which
registered with Growl. Now, when I launch 1.3, there are none visible.
I'm rather new to this and would appreciate any help.

Sure, which applications do you want to work with Growl?

I am having the same issue! Uninstalled - reinstalled - rebooted -
still nothing. Hope to get this solved!

Thanks!

Same question I asked Noah, which applications are you trying to get to work with Growl?

Same problem here. I needed to reinstall Growl 1.3 and now my
application list is empty.

Before uninstalling it, I had applications like Spotify, Growlmail,
Bowtie and 5 o 6 more apps, now the list is empty.

I have this problem also. I ran growl version detective and it lists about 15 apps. Although, Plex, gfxcardstatus and 1password appear in growl and send notifications.

Same issue here. The very first time I installed Growl, I had apps.
However, Mail didn't seem to work and I thought maybe I needed to
uninstall 1.2.2. So I did that, and now my applications list is gone.
I tried manually deleting the library files in Application Support and
Preferences, then reinstalling from the App Store, but the list is
still empty.

Any ideas? I'm really missing Growl for Adium and Mail.

I have the same problem - no apps in app list but Dropbox
notifications are working

A further wrinkle: I ran the app TunesArt and now it appears in the
application list. My reference to Dropbox working is because Dropbox
uses its own notifications in the absence of Growl

http://growl.info/documentation/faq-new.php#1.3noapps explains why you have no or few applications actually registering with Growl.

We're working on a way to minimize the problem.
