Can't get Apple Mail notifications. What am I doing wrong?

I tried installing GrowlMai from here: https://bitbucket.org/rudyrichter/growlmail/downloads but Mail said it's imcomatible, and I notice that the date for the program is back to 2014 so it's probably not right, but I can't find anything more recent. 

I'm running Growl 2.1.3. It has a setting for GrowlMail which I've set, but nothing happens when mail comes. 

Sorry, I'm probably missing something obvious, but I'd appreciate some guidance.

Try using the uuid patcher download there. :) If not they have their own mailing list.

Thanks, Chris. I couldn't get that to work either. It seems like the project hasn't been updated in two years. I think it's dead. I emailed the developer on Twitter and got no reply.
