I recently downloaded the last version of Growl (1.3.3) from the Mac
App Store. I use it since the first version without any major problem.
My Mac has the OSX Lion last update (v. 10.7.3) installed.

The problem is that everytime Growl has to make any notification, it
shows me a dialog box with the list of the applications installed in
my computer, asking me to find the Growl Helper App before the task
can be completed. But that application, even when it appears in the
Launchpad, is not listed among the apps in the Applications Folder, so
it's been imposible find it...

I remember that the Growl Helper App did existed among the rest of the
applications in my computer. But as I made a complete clean of Growl
before installing version 1.3.3 perhaps it was cleaned whith the rest
of the items. Whatever it is, I think it should've be installed on my
computer when I made the update to version 1.3.3. I should remark that
I've downloaded Growl twice from the Mac App Store, trying to fix the
problem, but the Growl Helper remains missing.

My question is: Is it possible to get the Growl Helper App as a
standalone download?

Hi César,

I have had this problem too and I have solved it by selecting the Growl app as a replacement for GrowlHelper !

It can work for you too !

Cheers and HTH !

Thanks a lot, Michael!!! Your advice really helped me.

It worked fine when tested with various apps and the problem seems to have disappeared, allowing Grolw to do notifications the right way...

Cool Cheers, and thanks again.
