That is indeed the reason for the reverse order. I've seen nobody else mention this as a problem before, so if some other folks could comment either way that'd be beneficial.

I would really appreciate the option (or default setting) to have rollup notifications appear in chronological order.  The current reverse-chronological order wreaks havoc on chat notifications, which account for about 95% of all notifications in my rollups.  Here's a recent chat snippet as seen in my rollup:

I naturally try to read the notifications top-to-bottom, and the result is predictably frustrating.  I've had Growl 1.3+ installed for several months now, and the reverse-chronological ordering is still painful each time, so I don't think that it's likely that the reverse-chronological ordering is something that users like me will naturally adjust to over time.

If the motivation for reverse-chronological ordering is to have more recent notifications scrolled to be visible, I would suggest adjusting the view's scroll position to achieve that effect.

If I am looking at my history, I'm probably looking for "what was that thing that I just noticed but didn't have time to read?"

If I've been gone for my computer for an hour, it might be handy to see a chronological listing of alerts since I left.
