Growl helper.app using up 130% of cpu and 3 gigs of memory

Growl helper has crashed a ouple of times this week, using up all of
my CPU and most of my memory. I recorded a sample of what it was doing
when it crashed

It looks like this could be related to the (old) network code. Are you forwarding notifications?

I don't see much activity at all with the "Helper Application", but I
just removed "Time Machine Growler" as it was using 92% CPU. I truly
liked the application but with CPU usage like that I just couldn't
afford to let it run.

Not that that has anything to do with this thread, which (as the
Subject line says) is about *GrowlHelperApp* using a lot of CPU time.

on in the Network tab of Growl's preference pane?
