Subscriptions unfortunately did not get the proper amount of testing,
my internal testing showed them working fine, but I couldn't cover
every situation. Growl 2.0 will endeavor to improve subscription
along with the rest of networking. A couple things to make sure of,
that the subscribed to computer has accept incoming subscriptions on
on the subscribers tab, and that the subscribing computer has accept
incoming network notifications on.

As for the text field, I have heard reports on that, and I am not sure
of the exact cause, but 2.0 also trys to ensure the text field doesn't
do that and has a minimum width. It should still accept however long
an address or domain name you need to enter though
