I tried to unpack it and then run growlnotify.pkg or growlnotify-1.pkg from the unpacked files and I get this: “growlnotify-1.pkg” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash. (same for both)
This happens with Growl running and not.

Growl version: 1.4
GrowlNotify downloaded version: 1.3
OS X Version: 10.8

Can the pkg be damaged? and the link being a bad cache?

This one is probably from the gatekeeper/developer id bits. We're going to start beta testing GrowlNotify 2 tonight and should have it out when Growl 2 comes out.
