If growl is set to be auto-launched with system start, each time I
open Mac (start OS, 10.5 / 10.6), in the Trash I see folder "Recovered
Files" and file(s) in it, like: 1A23BC4-
DEFF-5E67-8909-876543D210C1.growlRegDict (and only like this one, with
extension: .growlRegDict). Is this a problem of Growl or is this a
problem of application(s) using growl notifications? (In fact it is a
result of running Growl).

What version number does Growl show in the About tab of its preference
pane in System Preferences?

Also, please zip the file up and post it in our Files section.

Then the same questions I asked of TomkOx apply to you as well.

Version is: 1.2 (and it is Universal bin, on OS 10.6.2).
(I will also upload zip with "recovered files" sample).

These are from TextWrangler, which currently still uses our Carbon-
based API, which we have deprecated. You'll stop having this problem
when they switch to our Cocoa-based API.

I have explored that it is about TextWrangler "conflict" too.
OK. Thanks for answers.

Also a similar issue with Speed Download 5 putting "growlRegDict"
files in the trash after restart or re-logging in. I did report this
on Yazsoft's forums, but not sure if the issue is being explored.
