Hey guys,

after updating growl (to 1.3.3), it doesn't work anymore when I
restart my MacBookPro (OS X 10.7.3.) from sleeping modus. In this case
I have to restart Growl and then it works. Is there something I can
do?

Thank you! :)

Iv'e never seen that issue and I am also running a mac book pro with os 10.7.3. do you have it set to start up at log in. I'm sure you do but just a start.

Take care.

I am with the original post, growl 1.3.3 is no longer working from a
sleep mode. In fact it is no longer in the menu bar, and in fact is
not running. I have it set up to start Growl at login. I posted
earlier, and finally eliminated the old version when I upgraded. But
it is not stable like the previous versions. I too am using Lion with
a Mac Book Pro. Tonight for example I had to find growl and run it
(waking up from sleep). Then I opened the preferences to check that I
had enabled start at login. The preference window opens but is
stalled, I get the spinning beach ball. This time it even crashed the
Growl application.

How far back can we go and have things run better with Lion? Would
version 1.3 or 1.3.1, 1.3.2 work better?

For myself, 1.3.2 is better with Lion than 1.3.3.

Lately Growl has been waking from sleep and working well (knock on
wood). But when the Memeo roll up starts it is backing up the Growl
plist at a high frequency (many of them rapidly after each other).
This appears to indicate the Growl plist is updating quickly (why?).
