Growl no longer gives notifications or registers apps.

I was using growl and it was fine until a few weeks ago. I think I updated to 10.7.4 around the same time. Since then Growl gives no notifications. I uninstalled it completely using Clean my mac and reinstalled. Now applications won't register w/ Growl. Dropbox & Alfred are the two main ones that I need the information for. I did search some but couldn't find any solution from previous posts that fixed it. It's possible I missed a solution though.

Can you tell us what version of Growl you are using?
