I get this error about 50% of the time: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '-[__NSCFDictionary setObject:forKey:]: attempt to insert nil value (key: NSBundleInitialPath)

Here's a session capture from terminal:

Paid for growl in the AppStore. Feeling sad :(

Leopard is completely unsupported for GrowlNotify 1.3. GrowlNotify
1.3 was built for Growl.app 1.3, which is Lion only, with only the new
GNTP networking inside it. It was not tested on Snow Leopard,
possibly it would run there, possibly not, but at least it would have
GCD for blocks, which we use in the networking code heavily.

I am running Lion 1.7.2. Is there something in my crash log that indicates I'm running Snow Leopard?  I am running a clean install so I would be surprised if Snow Leopard residue was left over.

Thanks!

(I just updated to Growl 1.3... same story :( )

Doh, I meant I just updated to Growl 1.3.1, same story. I was previously running 1.3.0.

Your subject line indicates that you are running on 10.5. 10.5 is leopard, 10.6 is snow leopard, and 10.7 is lion.

You also didn't indicate that you had tried anything except for echo hi | growlnotify. Nothing was shown in the link except for 3 runs of exactly the same command over and over.

Ugh. That was a Freudian slip.

Anyways, today I discovered that I had the Growl prefpane installed. I'm not sure how it got there, I don't recall trying to install growl manually outside of the Appstore. I removed it and I no longer seem to get the error.
