When I'm running system monitor, I get one notification out of it and then nothing until I restart it.  I'm using it mainly to monitor my battery, so I'll fire it up, it says it's running and I'll get the notification when I unplug my computer.  But when I plug it back in, nothing.  No notification at all.  The same for unplugging it again or doing anything to attempt to set off a notification.  Until I manually stop it and start it again.  Have I done something wrong, or is this a bug in system monitor itself?

Edit: If I *don't* unplug the computer, the notifications appear just fine.  Any change in battery state makes it get all weird though.

I am the developer for the System Monitor. I too have problems with the battery monitor. In fact, I posted this several months ago here:  http://blog.growlforwindows.com/2011/06/system-monitor-updates.html . I am using the standard C# libraries for retrieving system data, so I don't know why they aren't working. I will see what I can do, but if the C# libraries aren't working, then I don't know what else I will be able to do.
