Hey All,

I have no peripheral vision and can't see notifications in the corners of the screen. I work in a quiet office too so I try not to use sound as an alternative. Would anyone code a display that starts off HUGE taking up almost the whole screen, and then shrinks back down to a corner? Its probably the opposite of what everyone is trying to do, keeping it unobtrusive. But, that would be way awesome and a great "adaptive" system for legally blind folks that still use computers visually.

Check out the "Translucent Dark" theme (http://softwarebakery.com/frozencow/translucentdark.html) - the screenshots only show a few ways it can be configured, but it has tons of options that let you set the size of the notification & text. I am attaching a screenshot of one quick configuration I just set up to make a big, impossible-to-miss notification.
