Angry enough to die 氣得要死 -- a reminiscence of last sermon 回憶上一篇講道

Remember what we heard last Sunday about the angry Jonah? Why is the name is translated with a Chinese word,  "take/taken"?  還記得上星期日聽到的「氣得要死的約拿」嗎？為什麼這個名字被擺進一個「拿」字？

Are we expecting or avoiding being called by God? Is it a blessing or a curse to be called by God, whether is it about what we like or dislike? 我們都在期待或是逃避「被上帝呼召」嗎？「被上帝呼召」到底是祝福還是咒組？

We all have something we like and something we dislike. 我們每個人都有喜愛跟不喜愛的事。

Do you believe that God will always call us to do what we like most or what we do best? 你是不是相信上帝往往呼召我們去作那些我們喜愛作的事情跟那些我們擅長的事情？

One of the hot term this month in Taiwan is "What you say now is different from what you said before". Many people could not handle when the stated intention change. To make sure the promised will be implemented without change the human beings invented "legalized contract". This means that everyone is capable of writing laws for regulating one another. This is why we all need to have the minimum knowledge of laws, especially the common laws and the validity of promises. 這個月裡在台灣的熱門話題之一是「你現在講的跟以前講過的不一樣」。許多人對於「改變原意」無法接受。為了確保說過的話算數，不會被黃牛，人類發明了「有法律效力的契約」。這意味著每個人都有能力去制訂法律跟其他人彼此約束。就是這樣，我們都需要具有起碼的法律知識，尤其是民法，包括「『承諾』的法律效力」。

Fortunately, deeds better than the promises are not considered breaches of promises. It is called blessings.幸好，「比所承諾的更好」的作為不算是毀約。而是稱為「恩惠」。

There are at least two major lessons Jonah has been teaching us? 約拿的故事給我們至少兩個主要的功課。

1. God will call us to be a great servant of His, with great achievements, regardless of our limitation by "interest", "interests", "ability", "willingness", convenient, courage, imagination, ....上帝會呼召我們去完成偉大的成就，成為祂的偉大僕人，而超越我們的興趣、利益、能力、意願、方便、勇氣、想像、….
God will keep promises beyond what He planned. This means that our Father God is a changing God. 像上帝會信守祂的應許，甚至超越祂的承諾。意思是說，我們的上帝是會改變的上帝。

1. A chance to understand and empathize with the people whose behaviors are limited due to special mission or special roles.是一種特殊的機會去認識並感受到「具有特殊任務或特殊角色的人」所承受的限制與壓力。
2. A chance to understand and empathize with the people with handicaps. 是一種「認識並感受到『具有特殊缺陷的人』所承受的限制與壓力」的機會。
