Is anyone starting seeds yet?

I started some tomatoes and sweet peppers under grow lights yesterday,
has anyone else started any seeds? I'm hoping I can move them out to
the hoop house in March - maybe I'm crazy!

Hey Molly...

are you heating your hoop house at all? that could be early to put
them out there otherwise.. the big thing would be keeping the night
time temps above 50 if possible, definitely not lower than 40.. could
permanently stunt the peppers. and make very unhappy tomatos.. I
know the farmers who use unheated High Tunnels will plant out in
mid-April and they feel that is pushing it some times.. again, mostly
due to night time lows.

Stefan,
Bob Dahm and I built a growing frame and set it up inside the hoop
house - maybe that will keep things above 50? I guess I'll just have
to experiment with things.

yes, experiment!! and keep records of the temps if you can.. that's
how we all learn :) happy growin'
