Hello all,
I wanted to remind folks about the Growing Green Hands Mentor Training
that begins today-2 to 4p @ the Community Center. This FREE TRAINING
is open to anyone interested in becoming a mentor or a support
volunteer (non-mentor) for this wonderful new program.
Mentoring is a one year commitment, following 12 hours of training
(scheduled on 6 Sundays between today and end of May). Matching to a
mentee and one hour a week "mentoring" will begin mid-June.
Volunteers may have a variety of interests - including: attending GGH
group events; participating in school-based support (tutoring or other
during the school day or after school) during school year-beginning in
Fall; learning NSTP - for personal and global health and wellness; and
more.
Please feel free to "drop in" at our training or call or email me for
more information.
