This year’s Taste of Amherst will be held June 13-16 on the Amherst Town Common. 2012 was our first year composting and the material sent to landfills was cut by more than half. We learned a lot and are planning to do better this year!
The Chamber of Commerce is looking for volunteers to act as compost coaches in the waste collection stations. It is more of a cheerleading position as most people figure things out, but need some reassurance. Please consider working for one (or more) of the two-hour shifts during the four-day event. Volunteers may have free cold drink (compliments of the Chamber) and this year Taste Green Team T-shirts will be available for interested volunteers.
