Yes Padamjeet, I don't mail access at home and hence it takes time for me to attend to mails.

 

The seminar was an absolutely successful one. The NGO Alochana gave us a seminar on Child Sexual Abuse. Their Project is called Muskan.It is an interactive seminar and it was very interesting and informative.

 

The conclusion of this seminar was that members of Runanubandh will organise such community seminars and Muskan will provide the education. At the same time I will start work on the creation of such awareness campaigns for children aged 6- 10 yrs in partnership with Muskan. The members of Runanubandh have all chipped in to have this campaign created.

 

My son was not well and I was not able to go Muskan to start it off. I will be going next week thursday and friday and meet them and see where I can start of with it.

 

Maybe I will have to Organise a meeting between the psychologist and the members of Muskan and if some of our people come together. We could have some brainstorming done and assign our members with the task of looking for information and formatting them.

 

Let me know if you have any better ideas.

But people like me are still incomplete as we were not able to attend program. We dont have idea how this program was, what was conclusion of seminar.

I would like to complete with you all on behalf of me and Ritu. It has come to my notice that everybody is very upset with the constant change of dates. Me and Ritu share this frustration with you. We had discussed this too, as to why Muskan cannot keep the dates as promised. What occurred was everytime the date was fixed ,they would cancel it and ask us for new dates. After 2 more such incidences , we put our foot down and made a firm request to not change the dates this  time, since we are responsible for taking care of all those who are keen to participate.

 

After the request, they did it again. I have not yet discussed this with them. But tommorow's date is final and the seminar is being held.

 

I take resposibility for not being in communication with you about the developments and putting you all through this frustrating experience. I ask for forgiveness.

 

Please be a part of the seminar ,in the spirit with which we have organised it.....to take care of the future of our country from Abuse. To be a support system in which ,the future that arises out of these children is powerful and beautiful. We were children once and we would have liked the same, to know we have elders protecting our interests and innocence.
