Helda Morales and Bruce Ferguson of Laboratorios para la Vida will talk about their school gardens and food literacy training program for educators in Chiapas, Mexico, the lessons that they have learned, and the challenges that they still need to overcome.

Laboratorios para la Vida (Laboratories for Life) or Labvida is an action research project based in Chiapas, Mexico which centers on delivering a course titled 'Alimentación, Comunidad y Aprendizaje' (Food, Community and Learning) with adult educators working with different age groups in a variety of environments. Labvida also support the local Chiapas edible school gardens network, and participates in the International Edible School Gardens Network.
