Dear all,

For anyone who hasn't yet heard the news--Governor Evers will be proclaiming May 23, 2019 to be the very first Wisconsin School Garden Day! There is growing excitement and energy for this momentous event in communities across the state and among partners around the country.

We just released an activity guide with information to help youth garden programs participate in Wisconsin School Garden Day. While we know that many programs are already planning some great activities and ways to celebrate Wisconsin School Garden Day, the suggested activities in the guide provide an array of additional easy to prepare options across several subjects and for different ages. We encourage everyone to participate in a way that best fits their program!

The Wisconsin School Garden Day webpage will have all of the latest information, including examples of how programs across the state plan to celebrate. Please help us spread the word to educators, community leaders, and school and youth garden champions around the state. You can learn more at bit.ly/GardenDay2019.
