Community GroundWorks, a non-profit organization, is looking for a .85 FTE Troy Farm Production Manager.
Organized in Madison, Wisconsin, in 2001 as The Friends of Troy Gardens, Community GroundWorks works toward an equitable food system by ensuring access to garden space and healthy food, and by educating farmers and gardeners of all ages. We grow wholesome and organic food for local tables, steward urban natural areas, inspire healthful eating, and offer hands-on learning opportunities. By teaching what we practice, we pass on the skills to build enduring communities.
The Farm Production Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and strategical growth of all aspects of urban agriculture production at Troy Farm, a program of Community GroundWorks. The current production of Troy Farm includes 2+ acres of field and greenhouse production of certified organic diversified vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers. The Farm Production Manager will ensure the production of Troy Farm is aligned with the agency’s mission to provide access to food, land, and education while in pursuit of environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
This is an 85% exempt position with a starting salary of $16.65 an hour with health, dental, retirement, and a generous leave policy.
