Community GroundWorks, a non-profit organization, is looking for a .85 FTE Troy Farm Social Enterprise Manager.

Organized in Madison, Wisconsin, in 2001 as The Friends of Troy Gardens, Community GroundWorks works toward an equitable food system by ensuring access to garden space and healthy food, and by educating farmers and gardeners of all ages.  We grow wholesome and organic food for local tables, steward urban natural areas, inspire healthful eating, and offer hands-on learning opportunities. By teaching what we practice, we pass on the skills to build enduring communities.  

The Farm Social Enterprise Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, and promotion of the social enterprises of Troy Farm, a program of Community GroundWorks.  The current social enterprises of Troy Farm include direct-to-consumer sales of vegetables through a CSA program and farm stand, wholesale accounts for vegetables, herbs, and sprouts, a farm fresh pizza business, and an annual plant sale.  The Social Enterprise Manager will ensure the social enterprises of Troy Farm are aligned with the agency’s goals to provide access to food, land, and education while in pursuit of environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Troy Farm’s Social Enterprise Manager will work as part of a farm management team alongside the Troy Farm Production Manager and Troy Farm Education Manager.
  
This is an 85% exempt position with a starting salary of $16.65 an hour with health, dental, retirement, and a generous leave policy.
