Ifyou've lost your driver discs, you're unable to find drivers on the manufacturer's web site or Windows Update can't configure your hardware, use this tool to quickly find and install all missing drivers.

If you're a PC technician, keep Snappy Driver Installer on your USB flash drive or external hard drive and take it with you wherever you go. In environments with no Internet access you can quickly get things working. No more searching for drivers after a clean install, just let Snappy Driver Installer do it's thingand your job will be done in no time.

I've already worked with Canon tech. I've done a clean install of all the software and even tried Run as Administrator. It still won't install. The rest of the software installs fine. I'm able to print. Just no scanner.

I am having the exact same issue on a MX 922 with Win 10 pro x64. It was/is working just fine on non win 10 pro machines. This is clean install of Windows. Disabled all security programs and nothing will allow the driver software to be installed. It seems to crash when it attempts to install the fax driver. It will install the printer driver and WIndows will install the fax driver, but it will not install the scan driver.

I was able to manually install all drivers, except for the scan driver. When I go to install the scan driver manually it says that the driver is not compatible with my system due to it not being an x64 compatible driver. Looks like the scan driver is not correctly signed for x64 UEFI Secure Boot systems.

I was able to get it to work using Windows' generic scanner driver, but had to install the Scanner Network Tool manually to work with the printer since the driver is not compatible. I did have the imaging device show up in Device Manager, but with a generic driver.

On the driver package download you get from Cannon's website (mp68-win-mx920-1_00-ejs.exe). Change the file extension from ".exe" to ".zip" so you can access file contents (you might have to enable this in folder view options if it doesn't show the file extension, so web search enable file name extension and it should walk you through it)

I don't know if order makes a difference, but if you get an error that states another driver isn't installed (I did just can't remember which step) just move on to the next and come back to it.

Thanks for all the responses. I did end up getting them installed. Not sure what solved the problem though. I had all the other software and XPS drivers installed and stopped working on the problem until I heard from Dell. I was also getting an error after the most recent install when I tried to open the online manual under canon utilities. In an effort to solve that problem I decided to reinstall the software. In that process I also decied to try the MP drivers again. For whatever reason they installed this time. Maybe having the XPS drivers, or software, installed beforehand made the difference. I never got the online manual installed though. I'm okay with that for the time benig.

So, for context- in case anybody knows how to help the start of the problem- I'm trying to use OBS on my laptop to stream, and whenever I try to start it it crashes. After consulting many, many people on the matter, I've gotten numerous people telling me that I need to update my drivers, specifically my intel graphics one.

This would be self explanatory, except I can't find any driver updates on the HP website, and whenever I reach out for help there I'm told to use the graphics driver installer, and... well you can see what the problem with that is.

So the Intel support engineers can have more information about your system, Please download and run the Intel System Support Utility ( -System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- ) for Windows. Select all data categories and then have it generate a report. Next, have the tool Save the report to a text file (don't try to use the Submit capability; it doesn't work). Finally, using the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach dialog below the edit box for the body of your response post, upload and attach this file to the response post.

However, I noticed this is a laptop in the report you sent. We recommend checking with your Laptop manufacturer and using the driver software provided by them to avoid potential installation incompatibilities. Intel supplies generic versions of Graphics Drivers for general purposes. Computer manufacturers might have changed the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to the graphics driver software or software packaging. You can see this information about the error "Exit code 1" in this article.

I would like to explain that, based on the Intel SSU report, I noticed that you have dual graphics (Intel + NVIDIA), known as switchable graphics too, and based on the error you get when you install our generic driver, can be caused due to some computers that support Switchable graphics don't work with Intel's generic drivers:

Intel does not verify all solutions, including but not limited to any file transfers that may appear in this community. Accordingly, Intel disclaims all express and implied warranties, including without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, as well as any warranty arising from course of performance, course of dealing, or usage in trade.

Over the past week or so, I've been trying to update my graphics driver to the latest version but to no avail. When I first started, I didn't think it was that much of a problem as my Intel Driver & Support Assistant has at one point, continuously failed to update to the latest graphics driver until a few days later.

However, when I let the graphics driver be for a while now and after coming back to it, it still wouldn't update. And by failing to update, I mean as in, the Intel Driver & Support Assistant would tell me to install the driver, then the driver would try to install and extract. Suddenly, the installer would crash and disappear from my task bar, before the Intel Driver & Support Assistant would tell me that the graphics driver failed to install.

I tried manually installing the driver myself through the website, and it didn't work. I tried updating the graphics driver through the control panel method, but it didn't work. And as a last resort, I used DDU and then tried to manually install the driver, but nothing seems to be helping my graphics driver installer to stop crashing after extraction. I don't know what to do anymore, and I am so tired of having to look through several articles, only to find out that it still failed to install after doing their instructions.

SSU: Please download and scan your system using our tool, Intel System Support Utility so we can help check your system info first. Once finished downloading, open the tool, click on scan 'Everything', click next, then save the system information to a .txt file. Please provide the .txt file.

I'd like to emphasize that Intel offers generic software and driver versions. However, it's important to note that when it comes to laptops, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) often introduces specific modifications, customizations, or other adjustments.

We recommend testing with the HP driver to see if the behavior is different. You can download the driver using the previous link. You may also check with them if they recommend installing the additional Monitor/Display drivers.

We sincerely regret that the issue is still persisting despite your efforts, including a clean installation of both the OEM and Intel drivers. Rest assured, we are fully committed to resolving this matter and will delve deeper into our research to uncover a potential solution.

Try another clean installation without an ethernet connection (No WIFI) just running the drivers, from the device manager delete all drivers until you see the MS display adapter then run the latest version 31.0.101.4885

The installation window just simply closes on its own without any chance of me being able to click on it. There's no specific error, and the Intel Assistant just says "installation error" after it closes.

Also I've tried the following methods you gave me, and none of them did anything. The window still closed by itself even after trying to clean install the driver.

We sincerely regret to learn that the problem persists even after performing a thorough clean installation of the drivers. It seems that you have diligently explored nearly all possible troubleshooting avenues for this issue.

At this juncture, we highly recommend reaching out to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), which in this case is HP. The reason for this recommendation is that the issue may be tied to a system-related problem, and HP is best equipped to provide you with the specialized assistance required for their product.

The CP210x USB to UART Bridge Virtual COM Port (VCP) drivers are required for device operation as a Virtual COM Port to facilitate host communication with CP210x products. These devices can also interface to a host using the direct access driver.
