Handed off Admin Rights to someone who cannot access Admin page - Reinstate Please Help

I had s similar problem whereby I accidentally when changing my email address, withdrew my email address as the administrator and then couldn’t get back in to put the new one in.
In the end I had to abandon the group and start a new one.
Sorry that this is not what you want to hear.

I handed off admin privileges to a person whose account will not allow her to access the google group page to administer the group.
Is it possible to get someone to reinstate me to the group so I can provide admin help to the google group?
