Hi all,

Does anyone know if Google Groups automatically truncates a person's
email when they type it into their post? Right now, when I post to my
group, I end up with Thomas.Reh...@gmail.com as opposed to
Thomas...@gmail.com (assuming that comes out). Is this some
anti-spam project by Google and is there a way to disable it?
Thanks,

Tom Rehman

no it is called email masking.

To clarify, this is done to help prevent spammers from "harvesting"
valid email addresses from public groups... I'm sure they appreciate
your confirming that your address is valid (hope you made that address
up ;-)
