الإحصاء الفلسطيني يستعرض أوضاع السكان في فلسطين بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للسكان، 11/07/2022

حوالي 14.3 مليون فلسطيني في فلسطين التاريخية والشتات

بناء على التقديرات السكانية التي أعدها الجهاز المركزي للإحصاء الفلسطيني، هناك حوالي 14.3 مليون فلسطيني في العالم منتصف عام 2022 منهم نحو 5.35 مليون فلسطيني في دولة فلسطين، 2.72 مليون ذكر و2.63 مليون أنثى.

بلغ عدد سكان الضفة الغربية المقدر حوالي 3.19 مليون نسمة، منهم 1.62 مليون ذكر و1.57 مليون أنثى، بينما قدر عدد سكان قطاع غزة متصف عام 2022 حوالي 2.17 مليون نسمة، منهم 1.10 مليون ذكر و1.07 مليون أنثى.

المجتمع الفلسطيني فتي وأكثر من ثلث سكانه دون 15 سنة

تقدر نسبة الأفراد في الفئة العمريـة (0-14 سنة) في منتصف العام 2022 بحوالي 38% من مجمل السكان فـي فلسطين، بـواقع 36% في الضفة الغربية و41% في قطاع غزة. ويلاحظ انخفاض نسبة الأفراد الذين تبلغ أعمارهم (65 سنة فأكثر) حيث قدرت نسبتهم في منتصف عام 2022 بحوالي 3% في فلسطين، بواقع 4% في الضفة الغربية و3% في قطاع غزة.

انخفاض في معدلات الخصوبة

انخفض معدل الخصوبة الكلية خلال الفترة (2017-2019) إلى 3.8 مولوداً، مقارنة مع 4.6 مولوداً خلال الفترة (1999-2003)؛ فبلغ هذا المعدل في الضفة الغربية 3.8 مولوداً مقابل 3.9 مولوداً في قطاع غزة. من جانب آخر بلغ معدل الخصوبة في المناطق الحضرية 3.8 مولوداً مقابل 4.4 مولوداً في الريف و3.5 مولوداً في المخيمات الفلسطينية.

أسرة من بين كل 10 أسر ترأسها امرأة

تشير نتائج مسح القوى العاملة 2021، إلى أن 11% من الأسر ترأسها إناث في فلسطين، بواقع 12% في الضفة الغربية و10% في قطاع غزة.

مزيداً من الانخفاض في متوسط حجم الأسرة

تشير التقديرات المبنية على نتائج مسح القوى العاملة عام 2021 والتعداد العام للسكان والمساكن والمنشآت 2017 إلى انخفاض في متوسط حجم الأسرة في فلسطين مقارنة بعام 2007، حيث انخفض متوسط حجم الأسرة إلى 5.0 أفراد عام 2021 مقارنة بـ 5.8 فرداً عام 2007. من جانب آخر انخفض هذا المتوسط في الضفة الغربية إلى 4.7 فرداً عام 2021 مقارنة مع 5.5 فرداً عام 2007، وفي قطاع غزة انخفض متوسط حجم الأسرة إلى 5.6 فرداً في العام 2021 مقارنة مع 6.5 في العام 2007.

ارتفاع كبير في نسب التدخين وفجوة كبيرة بين الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة

أشارت نتائج مسح التدخين واستهلاك التبغ، 2021 الى ان هناك ارتفاع في نسبة الأفراد 18 سنة فأكثر الذين يدخنون منتجاً أو أكثر من منتجات التبغ المدخن (السجائر المصنعة، والسجائر الملفوفة يدويا، والسيجار، والنرجيلة) في فلسطين الى نحو 31% من اجمالي الأفراد 18 سنة فأكثر في العام 2021، في حين كانت هذه النسبة لعام 2010 نحو 23%. وعلى مستوى المنطقة فقد أشارت نتائج المسح إلى فجوة كبيرة بين الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة وارتفاع واضح في نسبة انتشار التدخين بين الأفراد 18 سنة فأكثر في الضفة الغربية، إذ بلغت لعام 2021 في الضفة الغربية نحو 40% مقابل 17% في قطاع غزة.

13% من النساء في فلسطين لديهن حاجات غير ملباة لتنظيم الاسرة

أشارت بيانات المسح العنقودي 2019-2020 أن نسبة النساء في الفئة العمرية 15 - 49 عاماً والمتزوجات حالياً والقادرات على الإنجاب ويرغبن في المباعدة بين الأحمال أو الحدّ من عدد الأطفال ولا يستخدمن أي وسيلة لتنظيم الأسرة في فلسطين قد بلغت 13%، في حين بلغت في الضفة الغربية 14% مقابل 12% في قطاع غزة.

95% من النساء في فلسطين تلقين رعاية صحية قبل الولادة

أشارت بيانات المسح العنقودي 2019-2020 أن 95٪ من النساء اللواتي تتراوح أعمارهن بين 15-49 عامًا في فلسطين تلقين أربع مرات على الأقل رعاية صحية قبل الولادة من قبل مقدم رعاية صحية أثناء الحمل، و73% من النساء في نفس العمر تلقين رعاية صحية ثماني مرات أو أكثر أثناء الحمل.

معدلات أمية منخفضة في فلسطين

أشارت بيانات مسح القوى العاملة لعام 2021 إلى أن معدل الأمية بين الأفراد الذين أعمارهم 15 سنة فأكثر في فلسطين بلغت 2.3%، وتفاوت هذا المعدل بشكل كبير بين الذكور والإناث، فبلغت بين الذكور 1.2%، في حين بلغت بين الإناث 3.5%،

وكما أشارت البيانات الى أن نسبة الأفراد (15 سنة فأكثر) الذين أنهوا مرحلة التعليم الجامعي بكالوريوس فاعلى قد بلغت 17% بواقع 16% للذكور و19% للاناث، أما نسبة الأفراد الذين لـم ينهوا أيـة مرحلة تعليمية فبلغت 7% بواقع 6% للذكور و9% للاناث.

حوالي ربع المشاركين في القوى العاملة عاطلون عن العمل

تشير البيانات إلى أن معدل البطالة من المشاركين في القوى العاملة في العام 2021 بلغ 26% في فلسطين، بواقع 16% في الضفة الغربية و47% في قطاع غزة. كما وصل معدل البطالة في فلسطين بين الإناث المشاركات في القوى العاملة إلى 43% مقابل 22% بين الذكور المشاركين في القوى العاملة.

حوالي 91% من الأسر الفلسطينية لديها خدمة انترنت في البيت

خلال الربع الاول من العام 2022، افادت حوالي 91% من الأسر في فلسطين بأن لديها او لدى أحد افرادها امكانية النفاذ الى خدمة الانترنت في البيت، بواقع 91% في الضفة الغربية، و90% في قطاع غزة. في حين بلغت نسبة الأفراد 10 سنوات فأكثر الذين استخدموا الانترنت من أي مكان 88% في فلسطين بواقع 91% في الضفة الغربية و83% في قطاع غزة، دون وجود فروقات واضحة على مستوى الجنسين فيما يتعلق باستخدام الانترنت.

كما أظهرت النتائج ان حوالي 78% من الأفراد )10 سنوات فأكثر (في فلسطين يمتلكون هاتف نقال، بواقع 85 %في الضفة الغربية و68 % في قطاع غزة.

بلغت نسبة الأفراد 10 سنوات فأكثر الذين يمتلكون هاتف ذكي نحو 71% في فلسطين، بواقع 82% في الضفة الغربية و56% في قطاع غزة، ودون وجود فروقات واضحة على مستوى الجنس.

About 14.3 Million Palestinians in Historical Palestine and Diaspora

Based on population estimates prepared by PCBS, there are about 14.3 million Palestinians in the world in mid-2022, of whom about 5.35 million in the State of Palestine; 2.72 million males and 2.63 million females. The estimated population of the West Bank was 3.19 million (1.62 million males and 1.57 million females). While the estimated population of Gaza Strip was 2.17 million in the same year (1.10 million males and 1.07 million females).

The Palestinian Population is Young: More than One-third of the Population is Less than 15 Years

The percentage of individuals aged (0-14) years constituted 38% of the total population in mid-2022; of whom 36% in the West Bank and 41% in Gaza Strip. The percentage of elderly population aged (65 years and above) reached 3% of the total population; of whom 4% in the West Bank and 3% in Gaza Strip in mid-2022.

A Decline in Fertility Rates

The total fertility rate during (2017 – 2019) declined to reach 3.8 births, compared to 4.6 births during the period (1999-2003); 3.8 births in the West Bank and 3.9 births in Gaza Strip. On the other hand, fertility rate was 3.8 births in urban areas compared to 4.4 births in rural areas and 3.5 births in the Palestinian refugee camps.

One out of Ten Households is Headed by a Female

Results of the Labor Force Survey, 2021 showed that 11% of the households were headed by females in Palestine (12% in the West Bank and 10% in Gaza Strip).

Constant Decline in the Average Household Size

The results of both the Labor Force Survey, 2021 and the Population, Housing and Establishments Census, 2017 indicated a decline in the average household size in Palestine compared to 2007. Thus, the average size of the household declined to 5.0 individuals in 2021 compared to 5.8 individuals in 2007. On the other hand, the average household size in the West Bank declined to 4.7 individuals in 2021 compared to 5.5 individuals in 2007. In Gaza Strip, the average household size declined to 5.6 in 2021 compared to 6.5 in 2007.

A Significant Increase in Smoking Rates and a Large Gap between the West Bank and Gaza Strip

Results of the Smoking and Tobacco Consumption Survey, 2021 showed that the percentage of individuals aged 18 years and above who smoke one or more products of smoked tobacco (manufactured cigarettes, hand-rolled cigarettes, cigars, and water- pipes) in Palestine increased to about 31% of the total individuals aged 18 years and above in the year 2021, while this percentage was about 23% for 2010. At the region’s level, the results of the survey indicated a large gap between the West Bank and Gaza Strip. There’s a clear increase in the prevalence of smoking among individuals aged 18 and above in the West Bank, as it reached about 40% in the West Bank, compared to 17% in Gaza Strip in 2021.

13% of Women in Palestine have Unmet Needs for Family Planning

Data of the Palestinian Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey 2019-2020 (PMICS6) indicated that the percentage of women in the age group (15-49 years) who are currently married, able to have children and wish to space their pregnancies, or reduce the number of children and do not use any means of family planning in Palestine reached 13% (14% in the West Bank compared to 12% in Gaza Strip).

95% of Women in Palestine Received Prenatal Health Care

Results of the PMICS6 )2019-2020( showed that about 95% of women aged 15-49 years received prenatal health care at least four times by a health care provider during pregnancy; and about 73% of women in the same age received health care eight times or more during pregnancy.

Low Illiteracy Rate in Palestine

The Labor Force Survey, 2021 data showed that illiteracy rate among individuals (15 years and above) was 2.3%. The illiteracy gap is significantly noticed among males and females with percentages of 1.2% and 3.5%, respectively. Data also indicated that the percentage of individuals (aged 15 years and above), who have completed university education (bachelor degree and above) was 17% (16% for males and 19% for females) while the percentage of individuals who didn't complete any stage of education reached 7% (6% for males and 9% for females).

About One-fourth of the Labor Force Participants were Unemployed

Results also showed that more than one-fourth of the participants in the labour force were unemployed in 2021, where the percentage reached 26% (16% in the West Bank and 47% in Gaza Strip). Accordingly, unemployment rate reached 43% among females compared to 22% among males.

Around 91% of Palestinian Households have Access to Internet at their Homes

During the first quarter of 2022, around 91% of households stated that they have access to internet service at home or one of their household members has access to the internet (91% in the West Bank and 90% in Gaza Strip). Meanwhile, the percentage of individuals (10 years and above) who used the internet from anywhere reached 88% in Palestine (91% in the West Bank and 83% in Gaza Strip) with no differences on the level of sex.

Data also showed that the percentage of individuals (10 years and above) who own a mobile phone is 78% (85% in the West Bank and 68% in Gaza Strip). Also, the percentage of individuals (10 years and above) who own a smartphone is 71% (82% in the West Bank and 56% in Gaza Strip) with no differences on the level of sex.
