GroupMe bot

Want to create a groupme bot but ive no experience(except basic java). For a start i just want  a bot to reply when people post certain messages. I'm unsure what code to write and how to get the bot to run using heroku and github.

Any help really appreciated

So i have a bot set up, how do i create a blank bot using github? im confused on how github herokuapp and groupme all work together and how to make my own files to run a bot

I think there's a Heroku tutorial on the GroupMe dev site that uses Node.js, right? Did I imagine that?

It might be easier for you to start with something made for Heroku if that's the way you want to go.

Yup, there is: https://github.com/groupme/bot-tutorial-nodejs not sure how actuall it is, will need to check it, when there is some spare time... :)
