Could I get an access token and direction on how to use it to download all the data from a GroupMe?

If you log into dev.groupme.com, you'll see a link in the upper-right to grab your access token.

To download a group's messages, you can use the API -- https://dev.groupme.com/docs/v3#messages_index.
