1. A letter dated 24 Sep 2013 was written to PM with copy each to Supreme Commander, RM, Chief Justice and Presidents Political Parties on important issues concerning defence Forces (Copy enclosed).
2. A section officer in the Office of Prime Minister has forwarded the same to the Defence Secretary for action “as appropriate” vide PMO ID No.3/3/2013-PMP4/93260 dated 07 Oct 2013. Friends, this is exactly, the cause of the degradation and down gradation of status and, respect of Defence Forces. The letter was written to PM since, his personal indulgence was felt necessary on important issues requesting him to issue a White Papers on the handling of issues concerning Defence Forces and the institution of COAS. The PMO has deemed it fit to pass on the responsibility to the Defence Secretary to take action as he feels appropriate.
3. Friends, is this the way such representation by IESM which has focused and brought issues concerning Defence Personnel to the Centre stage in the country should be dealt with ? We leave it to the veterans and citizenry of the country to judge? We will continue to intensify our efforts to get justice for the Defence Forces.
4. We need the support of all Defence Veterans, ESM Organisation, our family members, our supporters and the citizenry of the country in the interest of National Security. Kindly “Unit in Objectives” to peacefully and in a dignified manner protest against the injustices to the Defence Forces.
