I am posting my opinion on the elective subjects for II sem, please feel free to speak out your opinion.

* syllabus – very huge, lots of terms involved.

* relevance – not related to embedded systems.

* scorability – depends on the individual

DIGITAL IMAGE PROCESSING


* books – available .

* self study – headache (like ADSP).

*syllabus – greek and latin.

* relevance – related.

* scorability – like sewag.

A BIG NO

ASIC DESIGN


* books – available in flipkart.

* self study – I cant, no idea about you.

* syllabus – deep and demanding.

* relevance – 100% embedded.

* scorability – like sewag

I dont think this subject will be done justice in terms of studying and teaching. So better to be on the safer side it is a NO.

ADVANCED EMBEDDED SYSTEMS


* books – avaliable.

* self study – yes can be done.

* syllabus – very good.

* relevance – 100% embedded

* scorability - yes

It's a good idea to study this in this semester since we have RTOS as one of the papers so it will help in a deeper understanding of the syllabus. YES GO FOR IT

COMPUTER ARCHITECTURE

* syllabus – difficult for non cse

* relevance – big brother of embedded system.

* sorability – dependes on QP

Same old donkey but an arrogant beast this time.

Its super cool, yes we need the knowledge of an OS. So YES go for it
