During my time today research Douglas Bader, I began to notice a common theme in all the pieces of writing.
1) Everyone thought he was legendary
2) Pilots from everywhere regarded him with extreme respect
3) Bader never ever gave up. If he couldn't do something, he would do it over and over again until he mastered it flawlessly
4) He always wanted to prove he could do something, and that he was a man, brave and capable of everything. If he was dared to do something, he would do it, and he didn't pay attention to rules often. At one point, his teacher at Cranwell told him they didn't want boys, they wanted men, so Bader stopped disobeying the rules
5) People trusted him
6) He was kind and modest towards his work, and approached tough situations with good humor
