Role: Java Developer

Location: Denver or Charlotte

Experience: 9+ Years

 

Responsibilities:

·         Design, develop, and maintain applications on the Liferay DXP platform using Java best practices.

·         Build and customize OSGi modules, portlets, themes, fragments, and client extensions.

·         Develop backend services using Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and REST APIs.

·         Implement Liferay Service Builder, Objects, workflows, roles, and permissions.

·         Integrate Liferay with enterprise systems using REST/SOAP, SSO, OAuth, and messaging patterns.

·         Support Liferay upgrades, patches, and migrations, ensuring backward compatibility and stability.

·         Troubleshoot and resolve application, performance, and production issues across environments.

·         Optimize application performance, scalability, and security following enterprise standards.

·         Collaborate with architects, QA, DevOps, security, and business stakeholders in an agile setup.

·         Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and maintain clear technical documentation.

 

Technical Skills

·         Strong experience in Java and Liferay DXP (7.x or later)

·         Hands-on experience with OSGi, Service Builder, Client Extensions, Liferay Objects

·         Experience with Spring / Spring Boot

·         Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and integration patterns

·         Experience with Tomcat, Elasticsearch, and relational databases

·         Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools, and build tools (Gradle / Maven)
