Required skills:
6+ years in systems security / exploit research or equivalent (industry or government).
Deep experience with virtualization/hypervisor internals (Hyper-V, KVM, Xen, or VMware) and kernel driver development.
Proven track record conducting responsible disclosure with vendors (references required).
Strong C/C++, Rust, or systems-level programming skills; comfortable reading and writing low-level code.
Experience building safe simulators / non-exploit reproductions, or crafting sanitized validation packages.
Familiarity with timing/race conditions (TOCTOU, lock-free structures), concurrency, and low-latency systems.
Excellent written/verbal technical communication — able to write redacted vendor reports and coordinate live demos under controlled conditions.
US work authorization (required if coordinating with MSRC / handling privileged access).
Preferred skills:
Prior work directly with MSRC, other vendor security response teams, or government CERTs.
Background in virtualization security research with published CVEs (redacted CVE references ok).
Familiarity with containerization and secure DevOps (Docker, CI/CD, signing artifacts).
Experience with formal verification, deterministic simulators, or modeling frameworks.
Certifications: OSCP, OSCE, GIAC GCWN/GCNA, or equivalent.
