Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Web Development Business Analyst to serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and the technical application development team. The ideal candidate will translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and ensure successful delivery of web-based solutions that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering
- Engage with internal stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document project objectives, business needs, and functional/non-functional requirements.
- Process Analysis & Modeling
- Evaluate existing workflows and processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Support the design of optimized, scalable business processes.
- Documentation
- Create and maintain detailed documentation including:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
- Functional Specification Documents (FSDs)
- User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
- Ensure all documentation complies with internal standards and templates.
- Solution Design & Validation
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that effectively demonstrate proposed solutions.
- Testing & Quality Assurance
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and other test phases to ensure solutions meet defined requirements and quality standards.
- Data Analysis & Insights
- Collect and interpret website performance metrics and user behavior data to guide data-driven decision-making.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the primary bridge between business teams and the technical development team, ensuring clarity of requirements and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Translate technical concepts into business-friendly language for stakeholders.
- Agile Practices
- Support Agile methodologies, including Scrum, to refine and prioritize product backlog items in collaboration with development teams.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in management information systems (MIS), Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA).
- Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of web technologies: HTML, CSS, .NET, JavaScript, and APIs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Project Online, ADO, Visio, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong Excel skills required; familiarity with Power BI, Azure Insights, and Dynatrace is a plus.
