Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mid-Level Java Developer with strong expertise in Java 8, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, VertX, REST APIs, and Kafka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend systems, building microservices, and integrating high-performance distributed applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 8 and Spring Boot
Build and maintain microservices-based architectures
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for enterprise applications
Work with Kafka for event-driven architecture and message streaming
Utilize VertX for reactive and high-performance applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and product teams
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices
Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
Work in Agile/Scrum development environments
Required Skills
7+ years of experience in Java development
Strong hands-on experience with Java 8+
Solid experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture
Experience developing REST APIs
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka
Experience working with VertX or other reactive frameworks
Knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architecture
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms is a plus
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP
Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
Experience working in high-scale enterprise applications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
